Happy Birthday to me!! I can’t tell you how happy I am that I’m alive at 45! Yep, I said it, I’m 45 today…my niece asked me if I felt any older and I told her no, I am getting younger!! I’m waiting to go to breakfast with my folks, thankful that they are still here to take me. Tonight I’m meeting up with my high school girlfriends and we are having a birthday slumber party! We haven’t stayed in touch like we thought we would, so it will be a night of catching up and remembering. Saturday my family is having cake and homemade icecream at my folks house…a whole weekend of fun!
On another note, my oldest niece is waiting patiently for her first child to arrive, (hopefully today) and I am working on a camouflage afghan for the little guy. This was purely by accident as I bought the yarn to make a shawl for me, loving the browns and greens. Well once I started crocheting I felt like I would have to wear it in the woods with a rifle on my back…definitely NOT my style. So hubby suggested the afghan and I also found a pattern for a hat and booties, if I feel really creative! Of course I got to buy more yarn, YAY ME, in a nice soft turquiose for my shawl. So it was a win win situation…gotta love those! I will post pictures when I get them finished.
